PS COMPANY PRESENTS SCREW ONEMAN TOUR 2012 "BIRAN NO ORI" at Akasaka BLITZ 2012/04/07

It was a stage SCREW and their fans had long been yearning for, and it was April 7th 2012, that they climbed the stairs to Akasaka BLITZ amidst the cheers of their fans and the heavy beats of the opening SE. Byo was the last to appear and without much of a break SCREW went right into their first track "The Abyss", which was the lead track of their latest album "BIRAN". Powerful chords of Kazuki and Manabu drove the audience to its utmost, firing each and every spectator up and creating mosh pits in the center of the hall. "Come on!!!!" Byo shouted, in between "UNWORLDLINESS KINGOM", where he received vocal support by Rui, while Jin was smashing on his drums, not allowing anyone to rest. Only after "DUALITY", was the audience for a moment able to breath, while listening to the vocalists short MC. "Welcome! It's hot at Akasaka BLITZ. It's the final of this tour, so let's have fun together!" "BRAINSTORM" and "daring driver" kept the up-tempo pace of the previous songs, but held somewhat of a lighter atmosphere, which was just to smashed the next instant, when Byo would scream and growl into his microphone. The fans responded with fist pumps and head banging, shouts and jumps at full power.

"桜と雨 / Sakura to Ame" in contrast opened with a swing rhythm on Jin's part and invited to dance along to the lighter guitar play. Manabu joined Rui, playing back to back, while Kazuki engaged in a splendid solo. Gradually the atmosphere of the live performance turned softer, until it turned deeply emotional for "邪心に爛る子守唄 / Jashin ni Tadareru Komoriuta ". Only the silhouettes of the members could be seen through the hazy lighting on stage, while Rui's bass lines led to the guitars into an emotional solo on Manabu's part. While SCREW were able to steal the audience breath with moments like these, they managed to do it in quite opposite fashion right after with "DEEP SIX" and "TRANCE". All members gathered at the center if the stage, seemingly overlooking the swirl of a mosh pit the audience once again turned out to be. Heads and towels were spun alike during "JELLYFISH" thereafter. "Are you having fun?" Byo asked the question that was nearly unneeded if the reaction of the fans was any indication. "You look really good from here, so let's keep flying higher until the very last moment!!!"

Whispers and screams, growls and fragile guitar solos led through the rest of the main part of the concert, before "VOID..." finished off the set in the same heavy fashion as the gig had started. Of course a tour final demands and encore sand the audience was shouting for it the moment SCREW had left the stage for a second only. Jin and Rui were the first to return to heat up the audience once again with a drum and bass solo, after which they were then joined by the other band members. "Akasaka!!" Jin shouted. "We have been on tour for 12 different performances and until the very last moment I had been wondering what this performance here would be like. And it's fun!!! So let's do this together until the last moment!" "You did well, Blitz." Rui praised the fans. "You look happy and during Jin's solo part you looked especially cute. However, I want the girls to be less cute now and become more boyish! The boys are fine like that." He laughed, hinting at the more aggressive performances that was certain to follow. The member's names were shouted out loudly during "ムラッキーヘビーマーチ" and "スカーレット / SCARLET" let into another MC that held the thoughts the members. Manabu: "It's been a while, Tokyo, and it feels really good to be here. Akasaka BLITZ is a place I connect many memories with. However, this is not the final place for me, as there are still dreams and aims to pursue."

Kazuki: "Soon it will be six years with SCREW and it does feel like a long time as we are now able to stand here. We are very honored that you have supported us until here. It's been a great live today. Thank you very much." Another three songs, led the encore to a finish, but it did not mean the live was over. Once again all members were called out onto the stage, performing one of their signature songs "VEGAS" and eventually it was Byo's turn to convey what had been on his mind and what his fans had been waiting for. Byo: "As this is the tour final of the BIRAN tour there are emotions greater than gratitude within me tonight, towards all those who helped and supported us. It was a great tour and soon SCREW will be six years old, too. There have been many changes and developments in the band and we came here with what we have now. We will keep going further, so I ask you to come along with us. Thank you." Chiyu from SuG and Mizuki from Sadie have been out...walking together ... passing by some Karaoke place ... disturbing the neighbors; and while some where envious, others were worried. Have a look!
